These terms and conditions govern your use of the Loubie Lou's Dog Grooming Parlour website and booking system, and apply to all grooming services provided by Loubie Lou's Dog Grooming Parlour, 444 Hollinwood Avenue, Manchester ("we", "us", "our"). By making a booking with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Bookings & Deposits
๐ A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is payable in full on collection of your dog.
- Bookings are only confirmed once a deposit has been paid.
- Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment, or if you fail to attend (no-show).
- If we need to cancel your appointment for any reason, you will receive a full refund of your deposit or the option to rebook.
- Prices are indicative at the time of booking. The final price may vary based on coat condition, matting, or unexpected complications. We will always discuss any additional costs with you before proceeding.
2. Cancellations & Amendments
- 48+ hours' notice: you may cancel or reschedule free of charge, and your deposit will be transferred to the new booking date.
- Less than 48 hours' notice: the deposit is forfeited. You are welcome to rebook, but a new deposit will be required.
- No-shows: if you do not arrive within 15 minutes of your appointment time without prior contact, the booking will be treated as a no-show and the deposit will be forfeited.
- Cancellations and amendments must be made via your online account or by calling 07494 755736.
3. Your Dog's Health & Behaviour
- Your dog must be up to date with flea and tick treatments. We reserve the right to refuse grooming or charge an additional treatment fee if parasites are discovered.
- Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or behavioural concerns when booking and at drop-off. Failure to disclose relevant information may affect your dog's grooming experience or safety.
- We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue grooming of any dog that displays aggression or poses a risk to staff, other animals, or themselves. In such cases, a handling fee may still apply.
- We operate a one-dog-at-a-time salon. Your dog will never be left unattended on the grooming table.
- For the health and safety of all dogs, please do not bring a dog showing signs of illness (vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, sneezing). Please reschedule and let us know โ no cancellation fee will apply in these circumstances.
- Please ensure your dog has been exercised and allowed to toilet before their appointment.
- We recommend your dog has not been fed for at least 2 hours prior to the appointment.
4. Older & Vulnerable Dogs
Grooming can be stressful for elderly, ill, or dogs with underlying conditions. While every care is taken, we cannot be held liable for any reactions or complications that arise in dogs with pre-existing medical conditions. We reserve the right to stop or limit the groom at any time if we feel it is in the dog's best interest.
5. Matting
If your dog's coat is severely matted, we will discuss the safest approach with you before proceeding. In serious cases, the kindest solution is to clip the coat short to remove the mats humanely. We will never de-mat a dog to the point of causing pain or skin damage. Additional charges may apply for heavily matted coats.
6. Accidents & Incidents
We take every precaution to ensure your dog's safety. However, in the rare event of an accident, injury, or allergic reaction occurring during grooming, we will:
- Contact you immediately.
- Administer appropriate first aid.
- Seek veterinary assistance if necessary.
Any vet costs arising from a pre-existing, undisclosed condition are the owner's responsibility. We are fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity.
7. Collection
- We will call you when your dog is ready for collection.
- Please collect your dog within 30 minutes of being notified. A waiting fee of ยฃ5 per 15 minutes may apply after this period.
- Dogs may only be collected by the registered owner or a named person you have authorised in advance.
8. Photographs
We may take photographs of your dog before, during, and after their groom for use on our website, social media, and marketing materials. If you do not wish your dog to be photographed, please inform us at drop-off. No personal information will be shared alongside any photographs.
9. Pricing
Prices displayed on the website are a guide based on breed and size. The final price will be confirmed at booking or discussed at drop-off if there are any unusual coat conditions. Prices are subject to change โ any changes will be updated on the website and will not affect confirmed bookings.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your dog's groom, please contact us within 24 hours of collection by calling 07494 755736 or leaving a note via your online account. We take all feedback seriously and will do our best to resolve any concerns promptly and fairly.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
